Petroglyphs
I have been short on words lately but life has been busy this week. I hope to get down to reading all of the wonderful blogs I visit tomorrow, and try another little still life.. In the meantime this is my latest piece. Encaustic, wall texturizer, acrylic, oil and gold leaf on MDF board. 20X20

Mary, I came back to look at this again. Really it is exquisite. This piece is definitely something to be happy with -- although I haven't seen anything that wouldn't provoke a happy thought from me!
This is fantastic! The theme and the surface works wondefully together. I like your previous post too, very nice still-life!
Paula, Robin and Stoy, thank you for your comments and yes I was satisfied with the last two. I have one I'm working for tomorrow that is turning into a lot of fun.
How wonderful! I love the shapes and colours here. Beautiful
Wow, this is a keeper. Very cool! When I first signed on and before I read your description, I thought I was looking at a photograph of an actual petroglyph. But, after looking at it more closely, I can see your telltale texture and color use.
Fantastic! I love this piece.
Thank you Jeanette, Cynthia and Dave for the vist and commenting.
A wonderful work, I love it.
I browsed your blog and I have to say your abstracts are marvellous, in particular the great texture.
Mary, I hope to see anymore abstract works of you.
