Tangerine Season

We have excellent sweet juicy tangerines in San Luis Potosi and I try to keep plenty around while the season lasts. It is one of my favorite fruits and I was lucky enough to rescue one from my husband, to try out another painting, from life. I almost finished it in one session but I was using natural light on it and partially shaded the left side but it began to get dark so I decided to try to finish it today. I'm sure this needs tweaking but after I get a few more paintings done I will send them to Michael Newberry for our next session.

Mary, so glad you rescued this tangerine for a painting, because the painting turned out wonderful! The cloth it is sitting on looks so soft I want to reach out and touch it. And I love the rich oranges and reds. Beautiful!

Quite beautiful Mary. I can just about taste it.

And I was about to say, I can smell it! Wonderful to see you launching into a series of smaller, spontaneous paintings. They suit you very well indeed.

So much I've had to catch up on here. Your ranch looks like a painters' paradise, Mary what a wonderful setting for Michael's workshop. How wonderful to have a Michael workshop!

Congratulations on your beautiful new baby grandson too.

So sorry to hear about your back problem - it can be such a misery. My very best wishes for a comfortable outcome.

Stacy, I enjoyed this one very much but haven't had a chance again to post more work. I just have to keep working myself to fit blogging into to my tight schedule. Thank you!

Robin, thank you for your comment I should try a lime next.

Robyn, my life has been so busy that my blogging is not what I would like it to be but hopefully I will be able to get back on track soon. My grandson is a treasure but getting quite heavy so for my back sake, I cuddle him in my lap. Thank you for visiting my blog!:)
