Profiles II

I wish I could post something more often here but in my desire to learn oil painting, I have been spending time on the small daily paintings. I have been working with my abstracts also but I feel they don't work right in small sizes so I prefer to take a little more time and do something larger. I enjoyed this one! It gives me the impression of a still life with fruit and flowers but I had already titled it so, I'm sure a profile will show up in this, anyway.

Mary, you've outdone yourself on this one! it's so organic. my first impression was a lion fish. i CAN see where you get the fruit, tho.

Mary,

This is beautiful. Perhaps it is a profile of red and how it moves into our lives, how it moves our lives, how we are moved to find the richness of red. I love this.

Thank you Billie, Robin and Johnnie!
Robin that is a beautiful way of describing the color. You are not only very good with art but a good poet also.

I LOVE RED! This is beautiful, I can see all kinds of profiles! At first glance it did look like a still life of some kind. Either way, I love it!

Hi Mary, I also saw fruit the first time I looked at your painting. It's really striking, and I just love red!

This is my first visit to your site and I am fascinated. Having also a desire to paint a painting a day like others exhibit in their blog, I am a little afraid the constant pressure of life will not be a good marriage with the pressure of producing a saleable product every day. The abstracts do take more process than a representational postcard. Congradualtions for continuing a constant search in abstract textural paintings.

Hiay, came from ArtBlogs 4U blog links.

This is a very rich painting and I agree it comes across as a still life. Just lovely. Gosh I have toyed with the idea of painting a day, but I can't even do a little sketch of the day in my sketchbook at the mo. I think it brave and wonderful to do a painting a day.
