Sofia's bath

Hours fly by and it seems I never get all of the things I would like done in one day. I have an abstract almost ready to post and a small still life for my Daily Painters Blog that is just about ready too, but both of those had to be put aside today for other priorities such as visitng my one month old grandaughter while having her bath. After having three kids and five grandchildren that put on a good show crying while being bathed it is such a delightful experience to see the pleasure this baby finds in her night time bath. This is one of her first smiles and now we are making sounds that reach us like a little conversation expecting acknowledgement.

You must be sooooo proud. What a gorgeous Grandaughter. Sofia has the heavenly light of her grandmother.

Oh Mary, what a beauty she is! I wouldn't be able to stay away from her for a single day. Lucky you. I hope you are drawing her.

Thank you Jeanette! Yes it is my intention now that she is focusing on things and her expressions have more thought in them. The first month all babies look so much alike.(:

Ohh, Sofia is adorable! You're a lucky grandmother! (and I'm sure she's lucky to have you!)

I love babies! I have the good fortune to babysit my neighbor's 6 month old 2 times this week, I hope I remember how to handle a baby!!!

Oh Mary - you are so lucky. Time is so precious when they are this age - take all the time you want with your grandaughter. Art can wait - it'll be enriched by your experiences with her when you get going again.

Thank you Lesley, Jeanne and Katherine! Time does fly I see it so much more with her because of the digital cameras that one can take photos every other day.
