Grisaille update

This was my last update shown to Michael Newberry last week but I had not posted it here. I was hoping to have the next one ready but I have been working on the weaving of the platter and that is really taking time. This is an exciting process and one that requires quite a bit of patience. I still have to make corrections on this one as it seems I am getting this too dark and the center of the peaches is also, so I hope to have that corrected and the weaving done by the next update.

Mary your grisaille is wonderful and with it comes the realization to me of how you are such a diverse artist. I look forward to seeing further developments of this work.

Billie, thank you! I have to admit ans much patience as this requires I am enjoying the realistic part of it very much.

Susan, thank you for the visit and the comment. I think this is the first time I am doing an art work with the supervision and mentoring of a dedicated artist like Michael Newberry so it is so good not to feel lost.

The grisaille is wonderful! I'm not sure I have the patience to work on one piece for such a long time.

I like the new look of your blog too!

Mary, your grisalle looks beautiful. It could stand alone without the addition of color. I am always amazed how skilled you are at both realism and abstracts. To me they seem to occupy opposite ends of the art spectrum.
