Embrace

It is funny how when you distract yourself from one style of painting it is hard to find your way back again. I have been doing a little realism in my continued search and will continue for the Daily Painter blog but I have thought of reducing the size of my abstracts until I find exactly what I am comfortable with and then try a big series of abstracts. Now this one I like especially, Mary. It looks so enticing to touch! and the colours are great.

Mary,

Again, totally delightful! Your abstracts are solid, like a heartbeat.

Sorry Lesly, typing error!

I know exactly what you mean Mary! I have been working with fabric the past couple of months and have several canvases in various stages of completion that I would like to go back to. I'm not exactly sure where to begin. I feel rusty.

On another note, I love your color palette and your work. If you are having problems, it certainly isn't apparent!

Thank you Cynthia! I think trying smaller pieces, although that is not what I like in abstracts, is good to start some ideas flowing.

Mariana, you make me want to paint abstracts. :)

I'm with Pilan - seeing your work always makes me wonder why I struggle with realism! Abstract looks like so much more fun, more intuitive, though I know its just as much agony and probably harder to do well. I'm fascinated by the colours you use!

Thank you Paula and Anita. I would love to see both of you do abstracts. YOu both have excellent use of colors.

This one has YOUR COLORS, I also like it, too. More the untitled! It needs a name.
